A Week of Play

Ahhh - nothing like having a week off during Christmas holiday! What a fun week!

Landon and Kalena and I have been playing all week with all their really cool toys from Christmas....trains and blocks from Tom, castles and knights from G.G., videos and books from Granny and Grandpa Ed, rabbits and remote control cars from Lois, a baby play center and pirate ship from Santa, talking monkeys and kittens from the cousins, and all sorts of other interesting things! Thank you everyone for these wonderful toys!

Look at all these toys!

When we haven't been playing with toys, we managed to actually go outside. Yesterday, we ventured to Birch Lake (south of town) with Tessa and Mark. We attempted to catch some fish - but we didn't get anything. Mark did catch a few fish but overall it was slow ice-fishing but nice weather. We are going to try again next week :)

This weekend looks fun too....off to go skiing with Jeff, Julie, Jack and a bunch of dogs near Chena Hot Springs (with a hopeful detour to the springs for a soak) and then dinner on Sunday and fireworks!

More to come in the upcoming days and NEW YEAR!

Thanks for posting a comment on thewilders. I've been following your blog lots too. I love the new pic of your house. I'm really missing Fairbanks.

Have you checked our subarcticmama? Her review of the Fred Meyer's east bathroom is funny:
