We finally got our Christmas tree on Sunday and FINALLY decorated it yesterday...yes, yesterday. It's not as bad as the year that Brad and I lived in Anchorage and got a tree on Christmas Eve....for free. It was raining that night and all the trees were left in the various lots for the taking...so we took one.

Part of why I'm so frantic was that I was gone last week. I was in San Francisco for a meeting and had a pretty fun week. My mom came to visit and then I got to visit my Aunt Lorraine at the end of the week.

The city at Christmas time is quite fun and my mom and I had a blast checking out the city sites! We even got to see Al Gore for a special presentation at the meeting.

I didn't know you were at the AGU. I have lots of geologist friends that go to that. What was Al talking about (guessing the environment?). Glad you had a good week!
