A weekend with friends and family

We hope you are recovering from eating too much turkey and watching too much football....we are :) We had a glorious trip to and from Anchorage - what a drive! Both directions, Denali was in full winter splendor and the roads were even dry! We didn't see any wildlife but the mountain views reminded me of why we are here in Alaska.

Heading South - view through the mirror

Heading North - cold but clear at the Denali view point

Once we got to Anchorage, we stayed with our friend, Tom. The kids had a blast chasing his cats and feeding the fish. Willow stayed either on the couch or in the bedroom hiding from the cats! We also had a great time playing at the local playground.

Besides seeing Tom, we also got see Doug and his family and ate a huge Thanksgiving dinner. Fun was had by all!

Resting after a long day of fun!
