Birthdays and such

Summer has come with a rush! It's been non-stop activity and late nights since last week and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. That's always the issue this time of year - all the daylight makes you want to stay up late and "do" everything. It's just crazy. In any case, last week was busy with gardening, dealing with our water tank, and preparing for yet another trip to Anchorage for cousin/niece Victoria's birthday. She turned 5! It was a quick trip but well worth it. Summer has made it even to the high mountain passes and we saw lots of tour buses on the drive south. Of course, I'm not sure how many more times we'll do that trip...in the span of 1 month, the gas went from just around $3/gallon to $5 in some towns! Crazy.

This week, Landon started a sports camp with his buddy, Kier and starts summer soccer. Landon's first soccer practice for the season is on Tuesday and his first game on Wednesday! Who needs to practice?! Kalena is eagerly awaiting her turn. She gets to attend Princess Training Camp in July! REALLY! I'll be sure to post those photos!

A few words to some special people...

Happy Birthday to Victoria!
Belated Happy Birthdays to Jackson and Uncle Doug!
Congratulations to Alyssa and her graduation! We hope to see you in Alaska.
Congratulations to Amy and Dan (parents of Alyssa)....just one more to go.
Happy Trails to Natasha! We look forward to hearing about your adventures in Russia.
Congratulations to Joe Dalle-Molle and your first patrol on horseback and for chasing a bear through a campground while on horseback and for not falling off! That is just too cool.
