It's almost time for this year to be over and a new one to begin! Hard to believe...I'm not sure where this past year has gone but it's been full! So, has this past week....we had a special Christmas with Brad's mom, G.G., here for the week. I believe she was the first out of state visitor for Christmas! Fortunately for her, the weather warmed up the DAY she arrived - from 40 below zero to zero! She might have not thought that zero was very warm - but believe us that it's better than 40 below.
We had a week of activities - everything from Santa Claus House to ice fishing on Birch Lake. The kids had a great time with her and so did we.

To start the new year off, we are hosting a chili party and "mini" sparktacular on Monday evening. Then we will head off to watch the official Sparktacular - fireworks display - at the University. If we feel motivated afterwards, we may even attempt joining an ice skating party at the indoor rink...or not. :)
