The Magic of Christmas

Where did the month of December go? When did it become Christmas? I feel like I've been a bear in hibernation just waking up and finding out that spring has already started without me. It's been a crazy month - more work than I care to chat about but it did include a nice trip to San Francisco where I also go to visit with my mom and Ed, my aunt, and long time family friends JoAnn and Kim! Now that was a special treat!!

Anyway, while I was working - Christmas suddenly is here. The kids seem to know it. They are pretty much bonkers. Landon has been wanting to know why we are waiting 3 MORE DAYS to open presents? Why wait? Can't we open them now? :) I'm not sure why we are waiting either except to wait for G.G. (Grandma Gladys) to wrap all those presents that arrived during the past two weeks!

Speaking of G.G., Brad's mom is here for Christmas - her first winter trip - and it warmed up 40 degrees just for her! Really, it was -40 below all last week and the day that she arrives, it was zero! (But, still more than cold enough for her!)

She endured her first outing to Santa Claus House in North Pole and then to Chatinika Lodge for the kids Christmas Party - where we watched Santa and Mrs. Claus come in on sled pulled by a snow machine! Now, that is truly the magic of Christmas!

I better wish everyone happy holidays now....at the rate I'm going, it will be the new year before I write again!

Happy Holidays!
