It's been a crazy last couple of weeks. I won't get into all the details but I have some photos to share starting with May 5th and working all the way through Mother's Day!
The weekend of May 5th was a nice time to take a walk at Olnes Pond - just past our house - before the mosquitoes and rosebushes came out!!

Last week, we took part in the annual Water Walk Run - something we try to do every year. Landon did really good walking since he was walking beside his buddy Max. Max was riding his bike and then Landon decided he wanted to ride too...then everyone got grumpy. Brad ran the race and I walked with Julie, Jasper, and Jack - since Julie was recovering from recent knee surgery.

Then on Thursday morning, we loaded up the camper and headed for Anchorage and then to Homer for a long weekend.
This the great weather and camping spot on the "spit" in Homer.

We caught up with our friend Tom. He and I went out on a halibut charter on Saturday - my Mother's Day present! What a day it was...enjoyed the water, the sun, and some BIG fish....

The group photo by our fish. The halibut in the middle weighs 75 pounds.

In case you missed that last sequence of photos - that was a 194.4 pound halibut that we caught on the boat. Since I had the derby ticket - I got to be on the "board" for the first catch of the derby!! We'll see how I do.
Finally, we rounded out the weekend with a Mother's Day dinner in Anchorage with my brother (Uncle Doug), Aunt Susan, and the cousins - Victoria and Gabby. It was a topper to a great weekend!!
