School started last week and a bit too early for me to get it together. Of course, being on vacation for two weeks didn't help but it was more than that. It was the fact that summer really isn't over and we have been thrown into earlier mornings and a logistical plan for the day that rivals getting ready for a trip to Antarctica! We haven't even started all the "extra" activities outside of school and I'm feeling very dazed and wanting my slower mornings and days back.
So, with me feeling a bit like a drill
sergeant, it's not surprising that neither kid has responded well this past week and now Landon has a cold. So, today we got to sleep in, play, watch cartoons, eat popcorn, have a friend for a bit (he's not that sick), and just remember what it was like only a mere week ago.
