Fall Memories

This morning we woke up to a change in season--winter. The kids looked outside and got all excited about the first snow. It was short lived and it was all gone by afternoon. Before our beautiful fall totally escapes, I wanted to share a few of the fun adventures we had in September.

Trip to Above the Arctic Circle

During Labor Day weekend, we took our last camping trip in the camper to Cold Foot, Alaska, above the Arctic Circle. The weather and fall colors were spectacular.

Fall Running Club

Landon took part in a Running Club at school. They practiced twice a week and then participated in a few fun races.

Field Trip to Creamer's Field

Kalena and school mates took their first field trip to a local field to see the geese.

Duck Hunt

A few weekends ago, we took the kids on their first duck hunt to Minto Flats, near Fairbanks. We had a great boat trip on the Tanana River and into the flats. They had a great time and Brad and Willow even got a few ducks!
