One Bad Movie

In the last blog, I promised a story about the car wreck in Texas. Actually, photos are probably better than the story...just imagine the movie Smokey and the Bandit with a guest appearance from Dog the Bounty Hunter. Here's what that movie might look like...

First, the scene....

A beautiful, clear, blue sky day along the coast of Texas.

Some views of the beach house that we stayed at and the beach to set the stage...



Next, the incident itself involving three cars - two of which (ours and Tom's) were stopped and in a line for the ferry. Notice that two of more damaged cars were red.

Here's the car that hit Tom at 55 mph...


Tom's car - also red and totaled.

The silver mini-van with tailgate damage from Tom's car. (Note - no one was hurt and Kalena slept through the entire event!)


Now, add our cast of characters to the scene.

The Sheriff (and his Deputy) visit the site...aka Smokey. (You can't see it in this photo but he has a very long cigarette that he is smoking while talking with Brad and Tom - nice.)


And, here's a guest appearance from Dog the Bounty Hunter. He came with the tow truck and liked to rub his belly a lot.The best part about the wrecker guy was that he towed the cars down the road and the next day the rental car company called us and said the phone number he gave was another's home and not the wrecker company! We told them to call the Sheriff...they seemed to be friends :)

There's more to this story...but you'll have to use your imagination and/or hear it over a beer someday :)
