The leaves turned yellow almost two weeks ago and are now starting to fall in the yard. The mornings are cool but the days are still warm. Our friend Julie actually has an orange pumpkin in her garden and we pulled all the potatoes out of our garden this past weekend. We see flocks of geese and cranes on our drive to school every morning. We've been getting endless supplies of magazines with Halloween costumes and when we went to our favorite thrift store last week, we had to restock our dress-up wardrobe with pirate swords, ninja costumes, and princess outfits because they were all on sale for Halloween. I even saw Christmas decorations being sold at another store. (I'm DEFINATELY not ready for THAT season!) Finally, Kalena is reminding me on a daily basis that she is turning THREE next weekend....(which reminds me that I better mail the birthday invitations.) So, will all this going on...I have to admit that it is officially fall.
Some of the fall activities have included a visit from my cousin Tucker and his wife, Karyn. They've had a great trip so far - fishing in Anchorage area and presently duck hunting with Brad. Here is Kalena driving the boat in preparations for the duck hunt.

Fall also includes nice afternoon naps since we aren't out camping on our weekends anymore!

Since Landon has also started school, we now have "homework". This is Landon working on his homework - learning to write sentences. He wrote his first sentence just this week! Congratulations Landon!!

Fall also includes berry picking - in this case - cranberries! I don't have any pictures of our cranberry event but Julie will have some on her site!
And, fall includes having bubble baths with best friends in a tub. (Well, that's not really a sign of fall - but it was fun taking a bath with Molly!)

Great pictures! And the pictures of cranberry picking on Julie's site are good as well. It is hard to believe it is fall there! Glad to see everyone is doing great. We miss you guys!
